MAX13085E是MAXIM的一款+5.0V，±15kV ESD-Protected，Fail-Safe，Hot-Swap，RS-485/RS-422 Transceiver，具有fail-safe circuitry，保证receiver inputs open或shorted时， receiver output为logic-high。该transceiver还具有hot-swap capability，能够eliminate false transitions on the bus during power-up或hot insertion。此外，MAX13085E还具有reduced slew-rate drivers，能够minimize EMI，并reduce reflections caused by improperly terminated cables，从而实现error-free data transmission up to 500kbps。MAX13085E适用于half-duplex communications，unloaded或when fully loaded with the drivers disabled时，其supply current为1.2mA。MAX13085E还具有1/8-unit load receiver input imped- ance，从而可在bus上使用多达256个transceiver。
